It is recommended that you gently care for your baseball cap regularly. Whether your cap is made of wool or cotton, if it gets dirty, it is best to wash it by hand to be on the safe side. Soak your cap in lukewarm water and rub it gently with soapy water (detergent, dishwashing liquid or soap). You can use a small brush to scrub the dirtiest areas. Then rinse with clean water and dab with a sponge cloth (e.g. a flannel).
To clean the inner sweatband thoroughly, take a slightly damp cloth with soapy water and rub it gently over the band to remove sweat stains. Then rinse the cloth with clear water and wipe the inside of the sweatband again to remove any soap residue.
No matter what material your cap is made of, whether cotton, wool or leather, the fabric of caps is still sensitive. As you can't put them in the washing machine, concentrate on the stains that you can see with the naked eye. There are several tricks to remove stains from your favourite accessories.
